在局域网和广域网上实时传输视频、音频信息,正成为一个不断凸现的应用,同时分布式多媒体应用的发展,也给网络的研究和应用提出了新的问题。其中之一就是QoS路由,即给定QoS需求参数,寻求一条路由满足其要求,并同时优化网络资源的使用。QoS路由可以分为三类:源路由、分布式路由和层次路由。讨论了QoS路由的基本概念、原理、研究现状以及应用前景。由于IP是无连接的网络,因而也初步探讨了如何在IP中引入面向连接的QoS路由机制入其引入机制的开销和效益。
Real-time transmission of video and audio information over LAN and WAN is becoming an increasingly prominent application. Meanwhile, the development of distributed multimedia applications has also brought new problems to the research and application of networks. One of them is QoS routing, that is, given a QoS requirement parameter, seeking a route to meet its requirements and at the same time optimizing the use of network resources. QoS routing can be divided into three categories: source routing, distributed routing and hierarchical routing. The basic concepts, principles, research status and application prospects of QoS routing are discussed. Since IP is a connectionless network, it also initially explores how to introduce the connection-oriented QoS routing mechanism into the introduction mechanism of IP overhead and benefits.
