A randomized trial of fourth grade students was conducted in 54 sample primary schools in eight impoverished counties in Shaanxi Province to analyze the impact of micronutrient interventions on nutrition, health and academic performance of impoverished rural students. The article points out that there is a serious problem of micronutrient deficiencies in poor rural areas in China. The anemia rate is as high as 38.8%. The incidence of anemia in boarding students is more serious than that of non-boarding students. Compared with the control group, the poor rural students in the micronutrient intervention group took 21 tablets of gold multidimensional vitamin D daily, and the hemoglobin levels and standardized math test scores of the students increased significantly after half a year, and the anemia rate was also significant Decline, students’ nutrition, health and academic performance have varying degrees of improvement. It is suggested that micronutrient supplementation should be included in the project during the implementation of nutrition improvement plan for rural compulsory education students in order to improve the implementation effect of nutrition improvement plan for poor rural compulsory education students.
