20 0 0年 9月 9日至 1 1日 ,南开大学社会哲学研究所、宗教文化研究中心和哲学系联合举办了“2 0 0 0年南开大学新世纪价值观国际研讨会”,来自日本、美国、芬兰、加拿大等国和国内1 6所重点大学、研究机构的 40余名专家学者出席了会议 ,围绕着新世纪应该确立什么样的价值观这一中心议题进行了广泛而深入的讨论。此次研讨会所关注的主要问题包括如下几个方面 :1 .科技理性与价值理性的关系问题 ;2 .传统文化和现代文化以及后现代文化的关系问题 ;3.市场经济与人文精神的关系问题。此外 ,学者们还就东西方文化关系、未来社会价值观的一般内涵和基本特征、2 1世纪的宗教文化的作用等问题进行了探讨。本刊选用了此次会议若干篇论文 ,以飨读者
From September 9 to January 1, 2000, Nankai University Institute of Social Philosophy, Religious and Cultural Studies and the Department of Philosophy jointly organized the “International Symposium on Nankai University’s New Century Values in 2000” from Japan, the United States More than 40 experts and scholars from 16 key universities and research institutes in Finland, Canada and other countries attended the conference and discussed extensively and extensively on the central issue of what kind of values should be established in the new century. The main issues that the seminar pays attention to include the following aspects: 1. The relationship between scientific rationality and value rationality; 2.
