在福建省为害甘蔗的主要是螟虫。其中又以二点螟(Chilo infuscatellus Snellen)和蔗茎卷叶蛾(Eucosmaschistaceana Snellen)为主,大螟(Sesamia inferens Walk.)和条螟(Diatraea venosata Walk.)次之,白螟(Scirpophaganivella Fab.)最少。它们前期为害蔗苗,引起枯心,减少有效茎;中后期蛀食蔗茎,造成螟害节,诱发赤腐病[Physa-lospora tucumanensis Speg.]使甘蔗生长受阻,且易受风折,降低蔗茎糖分和产量,因此对当前甘蔗的生产影响很大。目前对其防治尚缺乏彻底简便的方法。据前人介绍利用红蚂蚁防治蔗螟颇有效果,但仅限于水源便利的土地应用。我们在参考前人著作和总结群众经验的基础上,企图对红蚂蚁在不同地区、类型蔗园治螟效果,单位面积有效放蚁量,放蚁治螟有效期,红蚂蚁对地下蔗芽的保护作用,及红蚂蚁治螟与药剂的配合等问题进行探讨。

On the basis of referring to previous works and summarizing the experiences of the masses, we tried to study the effects of red ants in controlling the stem borers in different regions and types, effective dosage of ants per unit area, the effective period of the termites controlling insects, and the protection of underground ants by the red ants Role, and the red ant borer and pesticide coordination and other issues to be explored.
