This article describes the design and analysis of meteor burst communication systems, with special emphasis on some of the system characteristics (anti-interception, anti-jamming, nuclear coercion, and encryption considerations) that are of paramount importance to military applications. Using the stochastic model of meteor burst process, we derive the expression of average throughput and average waiting time. These equations can be used to estimate the expected performance of several meteoric burst communication systems in some military applications (collecting data from unattended sensors).
