联合国教科文组织中国牛背梁世界生物圈保护区位于秦岭山脉东段,横跨秦岭主脊南北坡,地处柞水、宁陕、长安三县(区)交汇区域,是以保护国家一级保护动物羚牛及其栖息地为主的森林和野生动物类型的自然保护区,总面积16418公顷。保护区森林覆盖率达90%以上,已知区内有种子植物1268种,兽类83种,鸟类172种,两栖爬行类13种,鱼类8种。保护区先后被国家林业局、教育部、共青团中央授予“国家生态文明教育基地”称号,
The UNESCO Beidouliang World Biosphere Reserve is located in the eastern section of the Qinling Mountains and stretches across the north-south slope of the main ridge of the Qinling Mountains. It is located in the intersection of the three counties (districts) of Zhashui, Ningsha and Changan so as to protect the protection at the national level Animal takin and its habitat-based nature reserve of forest and wildlife type, with a total area of 16,418 hectares. There are 1268 species of seed plants, 83 species of mammals, 172 species of birds, 13 species of amphibians and reptiles and 8 species of fish. Protected areas have been awarded the title of “National Ecological Civilization Education Base” by the State Forestry Administration, the Ministry of Education and the Communist Youth League Central Committee.
