In the downturn of the EU market, Russia has become a new growth point for Nantong’s toy exports. The latest statistics of Nantong Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau show: From January to October this year, Nantong exported 8,356,000 U.S. dollars of Russian toys, an increase of 11,4% over the same period of last year. The new EU toy safety directive came into force on July 20 this year, three months since the Nantong area exported 1074 pieces of toys with a total value of 19,085,000 U.S. dollars, an increase of 11.9% over the same period of last year, with a decrease of 6% in value.
