从二十世纪七十年代初,计划生育作为我国实行的一项长期的基本国策,四十多年来,随着经济的快速增长和社会的不断变革,我国的计划生育也取得了相助的成果,构成了有中国特色的的计划生育体系。进入了二十一世纪,我国的人口形势出现了新的挑战,男女比例不平衡、人口老龄化加剧等问题,所以,促进人口和社会的和谐发展、人口资源和可持续发展之间的关系,从而研究我国计划生育发展趋势及对经济发展的影响意义重大。
