彭泽鲫是我省育成四大养殖鱼品种之一,具有杂食性、生长快、个体大、营养价值较高的特点。1990年我们进行了成鱼塘混养彭泽鲫(夏花)当年育成商品鱼的试验。获亩产各类鲜鱼370.2公斤,为上年的2.96倍。其中彭泽鲫39公斤,占总产量的10.53％。 试验池选在市郊农村,面积8亩。淤泥厚度0.6米,水深1.4～1.6米。常年有生活污水流入,并提升溪水作为补充水源,水质较肥。pH7～8。鱼种由江西省水产科学研究所供应,规格2.3厘米,投放数量2400尾,放养日期为5月23日。在此前已放养鲢、鳙、草、鲤、白鲫等冬片鱼种5550尾。
