植物染色体工程自西尔斯(E.R.Sears)70年代初在小麦上提出以来,随着各种染色体操作的广泛开展,这一概念目前已完善即按一定目标,采取一定的方法和步骤,通过对染色体数量和结构人工操作(可概括为加、减、换、易)进而改变其遗传性的工程.它的具大作用主要表现在人工合成新物种、异源有利基因向栽培种导入和创造探查基因在染色体上的位置的材料等方面.近几十年来,植物染色体工程在理论和应用上取得了长足进展,本文拟就其各方面的研究现状作一介绍.
