给孩子们的话:不要带着太强的目的去读书和写作。一个人成为作家的可能性很小,但是写一些让别人看得懂的东西的可能性很大。我喜欢阅读菜谱,那其实就是一个图文并茂的说明书,好的菜谱让你很轻松地做出佳肴,差的菜谱让你怎么研究也是一头雾水。美国三四年级的学生都做过这样一个作业:和妈妈一起做一个菜,然后把过程写下来,包括原料、步骤甚至是操作过程中的注意事项。这个阅读和写作的过程就是培养学习能力的过程。 Give to children: Do not read or write with too much purpose.
