In the past few years, digital television technology has been widely used. The continued growth of the digital television market has set a record and its future is full of hope. According to the latest research report released by market research firm InformaTelecom & Media, 500 million homes worldwide will be watching digital television by the end of 2011. According to the forecast by StrategyAnalytics, the US telecoms consulting firm, more than 80 million homes worldwide will have access to online services through their television equipment in 2011, including online shopping, banking, gaming, information and interactive entertainment services.
