Ad hoc network is an infrastructure-based, decentralized and distributed self-organizing peer-to-peer network that can be set up quickly and easily in emergencies. The traditional TCP congestion control protocol in the Ad Hoc network showed instability, unfairness, bandwidth utilization is not high and as the number of hops to reduce the throughput and other issues. The eXplicit Control Protocol (XCP), an explicit control protocol, is a feedback-based congestion control protocol that implements congestion control by setting a flag on the data flow injected into the network and sending accurate quantitative feedback from the network to the sender. This article briefly describes the TCP congestion control protocol and some of its improvements in Ad Hoc networks, and focuses on the application of XCP in Ad Hoc networks. This paper analyzes and discusses the WXCP in detail.
