Domestic historians’ understanding of the British enclosure movement has long been influenced by the relevant conclusions of Moore’s Utopia and Marx’s Capital Theory. There is an over-estimation of the size of the 16-century British enclosure movement and the extent of expelling farmers Did not see the stage where the early enclosure movement passed the enclosure of the agreement and did not see that the size of the enclosure in the 16th century accounted for only a small percentage of the enclosure movement in the four centuries or even below 17 Century enclosure movement. Based on historical data, this article gives a new explanation of the early enclosure movement in England.
