Glycidylmethacrylate (GMA) is a high-strength adhesive monomer whose structural formula is: Its wide use in military and civilian industries. Previous studies in our group have shown that GMA can induce base substitution mutations in Salmonella typhimurium and can induce increased micronuclear rate of mouse bone marrow polychromatic erythrocytes, sperm aberration in mice, and unscheduled DNA synthesis in human lymphocytes.
