Naipaul was born into an Indian Brahman family who moved to Trinidad as his natural and immutable personal racial identity. His cultural identities and the cultural identities of the nation-state are more complex than that of the average person. From the Indian living customs and religious beliefs constructed by the ancestors of Trinidad and Tobago to the British colonial education in primary and secondary schools in Port of Spain, Oxford’s higher education, its settlement in the Wiltshire countryside, and its trip to the Third World, including its homeland, India, where Naipaul runs across cultures, cultures and cultures It is impossible to obtain the relatively stable cultural identity of natives easily. Instead, it is subjected to a painful and contradictory process, with its unique way of life and creation, to carry out the complicated project of perfecting the construction of its own cultural identity.
