根据2008年北京奥运会开幕式导演创意团队的创意需求,通过对仿生折叠结构体系,自预应力钢索结构体系的研究,以及一些新型复合材料的创新使用,解决“梦幻地球”的隐身和现身,球体的整体稳定,升降台起升重量的限制等技术难题。开展了复杂折叠结构的有限元计算方法、影响因素等关键技术研究。在此基础上,创造了北京奥运会开幕式的“梦幻地球”。
