环境香烟烟雾(ETS)由香烟燃烧过程中产生的侧流烟和吸烟者呼出的主流烟组成。其中侧流烟起主要作用。主、侧流烟中比学成份相似,但在量上有显著差异。以低温燃烧为特征的侧流烟中冷凝物含量高,燃烧产物含量低,结果导致侧流烟的强碱性,其含氮碱性化合物比主流烟多。而主流烟燃烧带比侧流烟燃烧带更为缺氧,从而使得侧流烟的CO_2/CO大于主流烟。新产生的香烟的侧流烟的化合物组成与香烟厂牌、烟草湿度或主流烟燃烧条件无关。
Environmental cigarette smoke (ETS) consists of sidestream smoke generated during the combustion of cigarettes and mainstream smoke exhaled by smokers. Sidestream smoke plays a major role.
