以色列泌尿学家研制了一种治疗前列腺肥大的新方法。该方法是把一根棒状仪器插入病人直肠,棒状仪器放射出对准前列腺的微波射线。尿道处的热电偶帮助检测前列腺三点温度的升高,一台IBM计算机把整个治疗过程的温度控制在43℃以下。该法对引起尿道堵塞并导致肾损伤的良性前列腺肿大特别有效,因为它通过提高温度与微波射线的作用使前列腺的组织从化学和坚松度上发生变化,从而停止压迫尿道和堵塞尿流。试验证明该法还可改善前列腺的血液循环,使传统的放疗和化疗更为有效。
Israeli urologists have developed a new method for treating prostatic hypertrophy. The method involves inserting a rod-shaped instrument into the patient’s rectum, and the rod-like instrument emits microwave radiation directed at the prostate. Thermocouples at the urethra helped detect three-point elevations in prostate temperature. An IBM computer controlled the temperature of the entire treatment process below 43°C. This method is particularly effective for benign prostatic enlargement that causes urethral blockage and kidney damage, because it changes the temperature and the action of microwave radiation to change the structure of the prostate from chemical and looseness, thus stopping the pressure on the urethra and blocking the flow of urine. .
