德国对106型调车机车进行了改造。重点是将GS12/5。2型液力传动装置改为新研制的GS20/4.9型液力传动装置。后者采用了向心涡轮运转变矩器,从而改善了传动装置的性能。同时传动装置输入转速和输入功率也相应地降低了。但调车机车起动牵引力提高了8%,总的调车能力不变;空转油耗降低了4kg/h,全负荷工况油耗率降低了14g/kWh,共可节约柴油17~30%。400台机车改造完毕后,每年可节约燃油8500t。同时噪声也降低3~4dB。
Germany on the 106 shunting locomotive has been transformed. The emphasis is to change the GS12 / 5.2 hydraulic transmission to the newly developed GS20 / 4.9 hydraulic transmission. The latter uses centripetal turbine torque converters, which improve the performance of the transmission.
