In the global arena, rare earths in China are being focused by the spotlights of various countries. The issue of export quotas of rare earths is once again pushed to the cusp of international public opinion. On March 13, the three countries, including the United States, Europe, Japan and Japan submitted a written request to the World Trade Organization to require China to hold consultations on export restrictions on raw materials such as rare earth. In fact, developed countries have been quite trivial since China introduced the quota system for rare earth exports in 2008. This time, the United States, Europe and Japan together is the coercion of China’s lifting of the restriction of rare earth exports. However, this rare earth export trade for China is clearly untenable.
