The 20th century has viewed the rapid changes of linguistic theories and learning theories.The appearance of constructivism learning and the need of communicative competence call for the change of language teaching method and approaches.Communicative language teaching,with its emphasis on communicative competence and learner-centeredness,has become influential in second language teaching since 1970s,and it is also being adapted more recently.
