据《美国机械师杂志》1990,№7,美陆军材料技术研究所的主任焊接工程师认为,2519-T87铝合金很有可能取代5083-H131与7039-T64铝合金用于制造轻型战车。后者均为目前轻型战车的主选结构材料,但性能均非理想。5083-H131铝合金具有较高的应力腐蚀裂纹抗力,但抗弹性能不理想。而7039-T64合金的强度与抗弹性能较好,但厚度方向上应力腐蚀倾向较大。
According to the American mechanic magazine 1990, № 7, director of the US Army Materials Technology Institute welding engineer believes that 2519-T87 aluminum is likely to replace the 5083-H131 and 7039-T64 aluminum alloy used in the manufacture of light tanks. The latter are the main structure of light chariot material, but the performance is not ideal. 5083-H131 aluminum alloy with high stress corrosion cracking resistance, but the anti-elastic properties are not satisfactory. However, the strength and anti-elastic properties of 7039-T64 alloy are better, but the tendency of stress corrosion in thickness direction is larger.
