Objective To explore the influence of medical students on cognition and health behaviors of their parents and relatives of relatives with different relatives and relatives, and to provide scientific basis for health education and preventive health care of chronic diseases. Methods A stratified cluster sampling method was used to select 100 medical students and 231 non-medical students in a certain university. The relatives of their parents and relatives were investigated by self-made questionnaire. Results The cousins / cousins of the medical student parents and parents were concerned with the cognitive and health behaviors of health knowledge such as health lifestyle, effects of high-salt diet, effects of smoking or passive smoking, prevention of coronary heart disease measures, daily sit-in time, etc. The difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). There was no significant difference in the above options among the non-medical students ’parents and their parents’ cousins / cousins (both P> 0.05). Non-conditional logistic regression analysis showed that knowing no drinking was a healthy lifestyle (OR = 0.139). Knowing that moderate exercise could effectively prevent coronary heart disease (OR = 0.315) and BMI (OR = 1.072) entered the regression equation (P <0.05). Conclusion Medical students’ self-identity and health education have certain influence on cognition and health behavior of their relative’s knowledge of chronic diseases, and their influence on the relationship is also different. Colleges and universities should pay more attention to and strengthen students’ health education. Medical students should also make active use of what they have learned and try their best to do a good job in the health missionary work of their loved ones around them, making their own contribution to the prevention of chronic diseases.
