蔚县煤田月山向斜区，大面积为髫髻山组火山岩覆盖，其下普遍分布有下花园组下段地层，在煤系基底古地形较低凹的地段发育有可采的１＃煤层，两翼尚有部分５＃煤层赋存，是有希望的找煤区。其中向斜东部施工条件较好，应做为今后重点找煤区。
The Yushan syncline in Yuxian coal field is covered in large area by volcanic rocks of Qiaomishan Formation. The lower part of Xiahuayuan Formation is widely distributed under this area. The recoverable 1 # coal seam is developed in the lower depression of paleogeomorphic basement. There are still some 5 # seam, there is hope to find coal area. Among them, the construction conditions to the east of the anticline are better and should be taken as the key areas to look for coal areas in the future.
