For pedestrians passing by, the transport road near Tamanrasset, Algeria, seems at first glance to be nothing more than a uniformly leveled clay road. From the engineering point of view, it also can not be called a miracle, just a 50km long road, across the flat in the Sahara desert. Even local residents do not care too much about it. It is a transit corridor, after which almost no people travel. However, the first impression is to lie. More understanding of it will understand that this is by no means just a clay road was smooth. It is evidence of mixing, filling and compaction, demonstrating that sustainability efforts can create significant savings.
