左翼电影运动从1931年1月“中国左翼戏剧家联盟”发表的《最近行动纲领》始,至1937年12月日本军队侵占上海被迫终止。对这一论题作重新评述,我们需要介绍当时电影公司的发展状况,详细梳理左翼电影运动的一系列重要事件;区分之前电影史家极易混淆的影评人小组和电影小组两个完全不同的组织,并重新评价这两个小组的作用,其中夏衍在当中发挥了关键的作用。与此同时,在这一研究工作中,我们还需兼顾当时的电影批评,特别是有关“软性电影”与“硬性电影”之争,以及围绕“国防电影”所展开的争论,都有助于我们重新认识1930年代中国左翼电影运动等重要事件。
The left-wing film movement began with the “recent program of action” published by the “Left Alliance of Chinese dramatists” in January 1931 and was forced by Japanese troops to occupy Shanghai in December 1937.
