高奇峰(1889—1933年),名嵡,字奇峰,后以字行。广东省番禺县圆岗村人,7岁丧父,9岁丧母,因家贫,一度寄食于他人家为小役。少年时有幸随其四兄高剑父到隔山啸月琴馆的同乡前辈居巢、居廉门下习画,并时受剑父指导,后曾在广州绘制玻璃制品。1907年,高奇峰17岁,随高剑父东渡,从学于日本名画家田中赖璋习画,接触到西方素描和透视等技法,深入研究了京都画派名家的技艺,同年加入孙中山的同盟会。1910年21岁学成回国返粤,继续做同盟会的秘密工作,任教于中学,并在广州举办画展,影响颇大,开始有“岭南二高”之誉。民国初年得广东省政府资助,
Gao Qifeng (1889-1933), a name, word Qifeng, after the word line. Yuan Gang Village, Panyu County, Guangdong Province, died at the age of seven and lost his mother at the age of nine.
