糖白内障的发生及防治与晶体糖代谢密切相关。因此,有关晶体的糖代谢途径以及糖代谢障碍产生的白内障,已引起人们重视。近50年来,糖代谢的研究有了很大进展。在动物与人类,血中葡萄糖、半乳糖的升高均可产生白内障。血中木糖过高,可产生试验性动物白内障。最近已发现,醛糖还原酶抑制剂可防止试验性动物白内障的发生。在低血糖时,由于己糖激酶失去活性,可发生低血糖白内障。
The occurrence and prevention of cataract and sugar metabolism are closely related. Therefore, the crystal sugar metabolism and glucose metabolism disorders have been caused by cataracts. In the past 50 years, the research of glucose metabolism has made great progress. In animals and humans, elevated blood glucose, galactose can produce cataracts. Excessive xylose in blood can produce experimental animal cataracts. It has recently been found that aldose reductase inhibitors prevent the development of cataract in experimental animals. In hypoglycemia, hypoglycemia can occur due to the loss of activity of hexokinase.
