CD8 + regulatory T cells (Tregs) are a group of immunoregulatory cell populations that play an important role in maintaining the homeostasis of immune system and establishing immune tolerance in transplantation. CD8 + Tregs alter the expression of surface-suppressive receptors (ILT3, ILT4) and costimulatory molecules on antigen-presenting cells through direct cell-to-cell contact mechanisms and secrete immunosuppressive functions of inhibitory cytokines (IFN-γ, IL- . In-depth exploration of the function, phenotype and activation mechanism of CD8 + Treg will be helpful for the further study of immune tolerance, tumor immunity, autoimmune diseases and maternal-fetal immune tolerance.
