湘育３０１是湖南省园艺研究所和湖南省蔬菜研究所合作选育的早中熟、优质多抗无籽西瓜新品种。全生育期９０天左右，果实发育期２９～３１天；浅绿底上覆１５～１８条清晰绿齿带，果形圆正，外观美丽；瓤色鲜红，肉质细脆多汁，中心可溶性固形物含量１１．８％左右；平均单瓜重５～８ ｋｇ，一般６６７ｍ２产量达３ ０００ ｋｇ右。中抗西瓜枯萎病，抗西瓜炭疽病。
