Yizheng Chemical Fiber will determine its annual output of 450 kt of pure terephthalic acid (PTA), 100 kt polyester and 500 kt paraxylene (PX) in China after 2000. The pure terephthalic acid and polyester project is part of the four-phase project that the company has in principle been approved by the State Council. The paraxylene plan has not been reported to the Chinese authorities for approval. A spokesperson for Yizheng Chemical Fiber said: “Only there is
