The northwestern frontier during the period of the Nanjing National Government can be divided into two areas: Gansu Ningxia and Xinjiang based on socio-political ecology. However, the relations between ethnic groups and religions in the border areas of Northwest China are the most complex and have the greatest social and political impact on the northwestern frontier. During the period of the Nanking National Government, people’s public opinions on the northwestern frontier have shown signs of reunification between the government awareness and public awareness, and promoted the development of awareness of building a northwest frontier.
