人类α和β珠蛋白基因簇的表达分别受位于其上游5~40 kb的红系特异DNase Ⅰ高敏位点的HS-40和β位点调控区(β-LCR)的调节。这两种远端序列(remote sequence)具有共同的祖先、类似的排列及协调的表达。已知α和β基因簇具有完全不同的染色质环境。且两种调节元件发挥不同的顺式活化作用。
The expression of human α and β globin gene cluster is regulated by HS-40 and β-site regulatory region (β-LCR) located in the erythroid-specific DNase Ⅰ high 5 to 40 kb upstream. These two remote sequences have a common ancestor, a similar arrangement, and a coordinated expression. The α and β gene clusters are known to have completely different chromatin environments. And the two regulatory elements exert different cis-activation.
