Stress urinary incontinence (SUI) women have many causes of morbidity. Recent studies have found that collagen plays an important role in maintaining the elasticity and toughness of pelvic connective tissue. Abnormal collagen metabolism will weaken the pelvic floor connective tissue and urethral tissue support, so that pelvic floor structure relaxation, hammock structure can not fully squeeze the urethra leading to urinary incontinence. The relationship between collagen synthesis and degradation and SUI was analyzed and the role of abnormal collagen metabolism in pelvic floor connective tissue in the etiology of female urinary incontinence was reviewed. To clarify the pelvic floor connective tissue collagen degradation increased synthesis is the leading cause of urinary incontinence an important factor.
