“以横贯我国东中西部的陇海—兰新铁路沿线的重点城市为依托,建立‘沿桥开放地带’,享受沿海沿边开放地区的优惠政策,加快内陆各省区对外开放和经济建设的步伐。”这是长期从事东起我国连云港西达荷兰鹿特丹港的“第二亚欧大陆桥”研究的科研工作者和实际工作者最近提出的一项建议。自1990年兰新铁路西段修抵我国西部边境新疆阿拉山口,同哈萨克斯坦土西铁路接轨,“第二亚欧大陆桥”一线贯通,它横穿我国东中西部11个省区,经过哈萨克斯坦、波兰、德国……跨越亚欧两大洲,直达大西洋
