Microwave irradiation technique was used to promote the extraction processes of bromide complex anions of Pt(Ⅱ) and Pd(Ⅱ) from aqueous biphase system of polyethyleneglyol/(NH_4)_2SO_4. The results showed that under microwave irradiation the distribution ratio of metals, extraction capacity and extraction ratio increased significantly as compared with conventional extraction technique. Under microwave irradiation the extraction ratio of Pt or Pd achieved 100.0% and 99.6%, respectively. The non-isothermal kinetics on the extraction reaction also approved the enhanced extraction rate.
