创作是艺术家个人的事,但拿到公共空间进行展示那就不仅仅是艺术家和机构自己玩儿了,它有可能牵扯到方方面面,多方角逐讲究的还是平衡,不要太任性。“撤展”在中国当代艺术发展的历程中曾经是一种极为普遍的现象,尤其是在大的社会环境相对紧张的时期,前卫艺术总会被体制排斥在外,那些对体制抱有幻想的艺术家总是会期待自己的作品能够得到官方的认可,于是在这样的背景下,撤展就会变得习以为常,那些不了解当代艺术的“审查者”们,往往会在开展的前一刻示意撤掉某些作品,否则展览的机会将被取消。
