为让抽水蓄能电站担任低负荷时的调频(AFC),就要求机组在水泵工况下能进行负荷调节。日本东京电力股份有限公司和东芝公司正共同进行可变速抽水蓄能发电方式的开发研究,该方式通过改变电站机组的转速,以达到调节功率的目的。最近,东电与东芝对可变速抽水蓄能发电系统进行了详细的模拟分析和模拟实际运行的模型试验,掌握了各种工况的运行特点,证明这一方式是有效可行的,并确认该方式可以应用于大型抽水蓄能发电工程。
For Pumped Storage Power Station (AFC) to operate at low load, the unit is required to be able to load-adjust under pump conditions.
