Objective To investigate the effect of comprehensive nursing intervention in the treatment of severe pregnancy induced hypertension patients by intravenous infusion of magnesium sulfate. Methods Fifty patients with severe pregnancy-induced hypertension who were admitted to the First People’s Hospital of Xiujiang County from April 2015 to August 2016 were randomly divided into general nursing group and routine nursing group, with 25 cases in each group. Conventional nursing group to give routine nursing intervention, comprehensive care group to give full care intervention. The clinical efficacy, anxiety and quality of life scores before and after treatment, adverse reactions (magnesium poisoning, respiratory depression, recurrent seizures) and neonatal survival were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of patients in comprehensive nursing group was higher than that of routine nursing group (P <0.05). Before treatment, there was no significant difference in anxiety and quality of life between the two groups (P> 0.05). The scores of anxiety in general care group after treatment were lower than those in routine care group, and the quality of life scores were higher than those in routine care group (P <0.05). After treatment, anxiety score was lower in both groups than before treatment <0.05). The incidence of complications in the comprehensive care group was lower than that in the routine care group, and the survival rate in neonates was higher than that in the routine care group (P <0.05). Conclusion Intravenous injection of magnesium sulfate in patients with severe pregnancy-induced hypertension is effective in giving comprehensive nursing intervention, which can effectively relieve the anxiety of patients, effectively control blood pressure, reduce the adverse reactions of drugs, improve the prognosis of newborns and improve the quality of life of patients.
