1980年元月16日上海市机械工程学会锅炉学组在科学会堂举行了《过热器超温问题》的学术报告会。会议由锅炉学组副组长、上海工业锅炉研究所副所长施强荪工程师主持。会上,上海发电设备成套设计研究所顾恬工程师主讲了这一学术报告。顾工程师认为,过热器超温的原因来自三方面:一是锅炉设备本身,如过热器负荷特性,各段过热器的热偏差、吸热量分配和再热器布置等因素;二是锅炉运行,如炉内工况组织得不合理;三是锅炉热力计算方法,如精确度不高,汽温定得偏高等等。顾工程师结合几年来在电厂所进行的试验,详细阐述了引起过热器起温的各种因素及各种降低汽温方法。报告后,王孟浩、顾恬两位工程
