中国的新兴木刻运动本来就是诞生于革命斗争的需要,由无产阶级文化运动的旗手鲁迅先生发起组织而兴起于上海的。从小喜欢美术,想学画当画家的朱宣咸先生,因进步活动而与木刻结缘似乎是人生的必然。他生无师自通的第一幅木刻作品《难忘的一夜》就是真实地记录自己1946年参加学生运动的遭遇。到上海后,朱宣咸先生参加了中华全国木刻协会举办的《木刻之友》的活动,结识了郑野夫、杨可扬、邵克萍、麦杆、余白墅、赵延年等多位新兴木刻运动的前
The emerging woodcut movement in China was originally born of the need of a revolutionary struggle. It was started in Shanghai by the organization initiated by Mr. Lu Xun, the standard bearer of the proletarian cultural movement. Mr. Zhu Xuanxan, who loved painting and wanted to learn to paint when he was a child, seems to be bound to be bound by life because of his progress. The first woodcut piece, “Unforgettable Night,” in which he was born and absent, is a true record of his 1946 student movement.
