鄂烟２号是湖北恩施烟叶复烤厂同中国农业科学院烟草研究所等单位协作育成的白肋烟雄性不育一代杂交新品种。１９９７年１２月通过全国烟草品种审定并定名推广。植株筒形，叶形椭圆，大田生育期９２天。据多年多点试验示范结果，平均产量２５０１．６ｋｇ／ｈｍ２，均价３．１８元／ｋｇ，上等烟４８．０３％，产值８０７７．５０元／ｈｍ２。晾制后烟叶多红黄色，光泽鲜明，结构稍疏松，厚度适中，化学成分含量适宜，比例协调，香气质好，香气量较足。高抗黑胫病（“０”号小种）。其主要经济性状、烟叶外观质量、内在品质和抗病性能都优于目前白肋烟主栽品种鄂烟１号（亦即建白８０号）。
