In the fall of 1980, the Ilford XP-1400 (f) and the Axalpio Pivalrio Xl400 (XL400) went on the market. Two kinds of dye-type black and white high-speed film are made using the DIR technology, from the sense of the composition of the emulsion layer. Each layer of emulsion contains Huang Pinqing DIR coupler. After photography, processing with a Kodak C-41 gives a dark brown dye image. Due to the close aggregation of the “dye cloud”, its diffusion coefficient (also known as CallierCofficinet) is lower than that of metallic silver, which avoids silvery clustering and uneven formation of gaps.
