From November to December 2008, the site was salvaged and unearthed by Hubei Cultural Relics and Archeology Institute to tie in with the construction of Zheng (state) Wu (Han) high-speed railway. The site contains the Neolithic and Western Zhou Dynasty cultural relics. Neolithic remains found in the late Shijiahe urn coffin and house, unearthed utensils tripod, bowls, high-necked cans, cylinders, mortar and so on. Most of the relics in the Western Zhou Dynasty were ash pits, burial mounds and house sites. Judging from the combinations and patterns of objects, such as pomfret, cans, spit, beans, they were equivalent to the late Western Zhou Dynasty.
