After the New Year, various statistics have been released. One of the most media-related concerns is the death toll of journalists worldwide. A global survey of cpjs, one by one, verified that 37 journalists were killed in the post in 2001, up from 24 in 2000. The number of non-normal deaths of journalists seems to have become a meaningful social indicator.
