猕猴桃是一种多年生藤本落叶果树,俗称阳桃。果实经过后熟后,芳香多汁,香酸甜适口。含有多种维生素,特别是维生素C含量远较柑桔、苹果、梨等丰富。还含有较多的蛋白质,白氨酸、酪氨酸、苯丙氨酸等12种氨基酸,葡萄糖、果糖,脂肪,果胶以及钙、磷、铁、镁等各种矿物质。
