首次采用美洲黑杨１一６９（Ｐ．ｄｅｌｔｏｉｄｓ‘Ｌｕｘ’♀）与美洲黑杨Ｉ一６３（Ｐ．ｄｅｌｔｏｉｄｓ‘Ｈａｒｖａｒｄ’♂）进行种内有性杂交，Ｆ１表现出显著杂种优势，从中选育出中潜２号、中驻８号、中汉５７８号等一批超过双亲及目前国际生长最快的意大利Ｉ一７２杨的杨树新品种。
For the first time, interspecific sexual crosses were conducted between P. deltoids’Lux’♀ and P.deltoids’Harvard’♂, and F1 showed significant heterosis.
