王少堂先生是现代一位著名的评话艺术家,他的扬州评话艺术成就以《水浒》中的四个十回为代表。四个十回包括:《武十回》、《宋十回》、《声十回》、《石十回》,其中,又以讲说水浒英雄武松故事的《武十回》最为著名、最富艺术感染力。王少堂先生的扬州评话在文革前就受到各界的重视,由他口述的长篇评话《武松》等评话书籍相继整理出版。可惜的是,王少堂先生在“文革”时期饱受摧残,含冤去世,跟他相关的许多评话资料也因此而散失。笔者最近接触到一组有关王少堂评话艺术的藏品:其中有1955年王少堂赴上海说评话时,供观摩研究的几份资料和1958年一段珍贵的视频,使我
Mr. Wang Shaotang is a famous contemporary commentator in his works. His achievements in appraising the art of Yangzhou are represented by four times in “Water Margin”. Four ten times include: “Wu ten times”, “Song ten times”, “Ten times”, “Shi Shi Hui”, among them, again to tell the story of Water Margin hero Wu Song “Wu ten times” the most famous, most Rich artistic appeal. Mr. Wang Shaotang’s Yangzhou commentary was valued by all walks of life before the Cultural Revolution. His commentary entitled “Wu Song”, a long-spoken commentary entitled “Wu Song”, was published in succession. Unfortunately, Mr. Wang Shaotang was so devastated during his “Cultural Revolution” that his innocence passed away. Many comments related to him were also lost.
