新中国成立初期,教育部提出在中小学评选优秀教师,并将其作为一项政治工作来推动。为了体现自下而上的民主原则和保证工作的顺利开展,教育部对评选活动相关要求作了详细规定。上海市十分重视优秀教师评选,组成了优秀教师推选委员会、确定了工作计划、选定了试点学校。由于新中国成立初期各项教育工作尚处于摸索之中,评选活动的进展并非一帆风顺。通过评选优秀教师工作,上海市意识到社会主义教育事业一定要关注社会发展,避免过多的硬性规定,同时党和政府也意识到社会主义建设的理念要与地方实际相结合。 In the early days after the founding of New China, the Ministry of Education proposed to select outstanding teachers in primary and secondary schools and promote them as a political work.
